Brian Mantzey
Board President/Superintendent/CEO

Mr. Mantzey obtained his BS in Banking/Finance from Southeastern Oklahoma State University while earning the Wall Street Journal Award from the business school.  He has gone on to complete the Southwest Graduate School of Banking, Leadership McKinney and also earn his CCIM certification.   He has more than 20 years of experience in banking bringing to the board experience with financial matters including cash flow review, budgeting, policy compliance and debt structuring.  His past volunteering includes Past Kiwanis President, Main Street Board, United Way and March of Dimes.  He lives in McKinney with his wife and two children.

William Heye
Vice-President/Secretary

Mr. Heye obtained his BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University where he served as Corps Commander, and an MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated as a Baker Scholar, a distinction awarded to the top 5% of students.  He served in the USAF for three years as Captain, followed by eighteen years with Texas Instruments, where he served as Vice President and General Manager in Taiwan, and as President of Texas Instruments, Asia Ltd., in Japan.  He was also President and CEO of SBE, Inc., in Silicon Valley for twelve years.  Mr. Heye has taught Managerial Accounting as an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the University of Texas at Dallas.  He currently serves on the Texas A&M Presidentʼs Council of Advisors, the Presidentʼs Board of Visitors for Corps of Cadets, and the George Bush School of Public Service Development Council.  He was selected a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M University in 1991 and was inducted into the Corps of Cadets Hall of Honor in 2010.

Karmen Harden
Treasurer

Mrs. Karmen Harden earned her BS in Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University and her MS in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University. She is a Texas certified Educator and has training with the UCLA Extension, Distance Learning for college counseling. Karmen also brings to the board success as an IB trained educator with teaching and guidance experience in IB SL and HL at the Diploma Program Level from Plano East High Scool. Along with her work in real estate, Karmen’s background in business ownership, technology and education will add value to the board. She is also very active in the community, serving with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Jack & Jill of America and North Texas Girl Scouts. Karmen lives in Allen with her husband and two children.

Lisa Hermes
Member At Large

Mrs. Hermes joined the Board in May 2016. Mrs. Hermes is the current President of the McKinney Chamber of
Commerce. She returned to the McKinney Chamber of Commerce after serving as president of the Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce since May 2013. Her extensive work with Chamber of Commerce began in 2006 as the McKinney Chamber of Commerce’s communications and public policy director. She later served as president of the Rowlett Chamber and vice president of the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Hermes launched her professional career as a journalist with the Star Group of newspapers in Burleson. She was managing editor of Inside Collin County Business, before moving into Chamber of Commerce management. Hermes graduated from the Institute of Organizational Management through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and from the Leadership McKinney class of 2009. 

The Board of Managers holds the charter with the state of Texas and has contracted with Imagine Schools, Inc., to operate and manage the school on a day to day basis for a management fee.  This management fee includes specific services as listed here and also includes the services of the school Central Administration Officer receiving a salary of $90,000 (posted in accordance with TEC §12.136), who also holds duties as Region Director for Imagine Schools in Texas.
