FALL BREAK STEM CAMPS

Come and enjoy a fun morning of STEM activities at our school during Fall Break. Run by Mad Science of DFW, a leading STEM enrichment provider in the metroplex, carrying over $100,000 of STEM enrichment equipment, they will bring their mobile science lab to Imagine!
1. NASA: Academy of Space Explorers Camp (Grades K-2)
Discover the mysteries of space, planets, stars, and more! Learn about the four forces of flight, living in space, and the challenges of space travel. Last but not least, learn about the secrets of rocket science and even participate in a live rocket launch.
2. Bubbles, Smoke and Explosions! (Grades K-2)
Have fun with chemistry - make a crystal garden, synthesize your own slime, learn about our solar system by making a comet with everyday items, and have a shocking time with a Van de Graaff generator by experiencing lighting up close!
3. Intro to Robotics (Grades 3-5)
Learn about the uses of robotics in our world. Spend time playing, building, and experimenting with different robot designs, as you learn what makes a robot work. Use your skills to build your very own working robot (automaton) to take home with you at the end of camp.
4. Lego Brixology Engineers (Grades 2-5)
Build a different LEGO project inspired by an engineering theme in each class. Explore engineering fields including mechanical, structural, aerospace, nautical and bio engineering. Experience extended learning with a take home toy to reinforce each concept!
5. Coding Camp (Grades 6-8)
Coding Camp focuses on teaching students to THINK like coders, which emphasizes the principles of efficiency and logic. Students will use a web-based application to accomplish a series of tasks that concentrate on learning the basics of coding such as Conditional statements, If/Then loops, Variables, and Functions. Students will come away with the standards applicable to coding so that when they pursue an actual coding language (or multiple!) they will already understand the basics of how coding functions.
