Founded in 2012, Imagine International Academy of North Texas is an open-enrollment public charter school located in McKinney, Texas. Funded by the state of Texas, there is no tuition associated with attending the school.
We are one of less than ten schools in the United States offering the internationally-recognized college preparatory continuum of all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes (Primary Years Programme for grades K-5, Middle Years Programme for grades 6-10, and the Diploma Programme for grades 11-12) within a single setting at no cost to families.
For the 2016-2017 school year, our graduating seniors received over $2.4M in scholarships, and our Diploma Programme pass rate was 80%, just above the worldwide average. Students who earn the International Baccalaureate Diploma are eligible for a minimum of 24 hours of college credit at any public institution of higher education in the state of Texas.
Students from our three graduating classes so far have been accepted to Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University, Brown University, Rice University, University of Notre Dame, Emory University, University of California - Berkeley, University of California - Los Angeles, University of Southern California, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Texas at Austin, and Texas A&M University, among many others.
