School Board


The Board of the Academy holds the charter for the Imagine International Academy of North Texas and maintains oversight of the school's fiscal and academic achievement. 

Ann Carrell (President)
Mrs. Carrell has been the chair of the school's Founding Group for the past two years and brings an intimate understanding of the school's mission and purpose, as well as representation of our local parent community to the board.  Formerly the president of McKinney ISD's Alpha Parent Support group for Gifted and Talented students, her tenure included serving as the parent representative on a district taskforce for the redesign of the 4th and 5th grade gifted program. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Plano, where she served in leadership positions in areas ranging from community project research and development to new member training. A graduate of Texas A&M, she has held various positions in the health care consulting industry, with responsibilities for software development, training and account management. She has been a resident of McKinney for the past fifteen years, and her husband's CPA firm, Peter M. Carrell & Company, LLC., currently offices at the historical Prison in downtown McKinney.

Nancy Intrator (VP/Secretary)
Mrs. Intrator was one of the very first members of the school's Founding Group, and has been actively engaged in bringing the school into existence since the fall of 2006.  She brings her familiarity with learning differences, particularly dyslexia, as well as a strong network of community support with her to the board.  She has been a resident of McKinney for over fifteen years and has been involved in numerous local charitable endeavors. 

Michael Domingue (Member-At-Large) 
Dr. Domingue holds a BS in Business Administration and an MS in Rhetoric from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, as well as a PhD in Speech from Lousiana State University. Having previously taught at the University of Texas at Arlington, he has been with Banctec, a global technology services company in the capacity of opportunity manager for the past several years. He is currently also teaching at the Collin County Community College District. His past experience includes being treasurer and vice president of ASTD (Fort Worth/Mid-Cities), member of the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee for McKinney ISD, and a PTO member of the former Academic Competitiveness through Technology (ACT) Academy. A resident of McKinney for several years, he brings skills in the areas of communication, organizational behavior, process orientation, and project management to the board.
